Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum (Medical Director)
Dr. Steinbaum is an attending cardiologist and the Director of Women and Heart Disease of the Heart and Vascular Institute of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. She has done fellowship training in both Preventative Cardiology and Cardiology. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, with a subspecialty in Prevention and Women and Heart Disease. Previously, she was the Director of the Center for Cardiac and Pulmonary Health at Beth Israel Medical Center, and one of the founders of the Women’s Cardiac Care Network at Continuum Hospitals. Dr. Steinbaum has devoted her career to heart health through early detection, education, and prevention. As obesity has become an epidemic in America, her practice and passion have brought her to the forefront of patient management for obesity and the multiple risk factors that go along with it.
Kelly Birsen, MPH, RD, CDN (Manager, Dietitian)
Kelly Birsen has a Masters in Public Health in Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, and certification in American Dietetic Association Adult Weight Management, American Heart Association CPR, and AFFA Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Fitness Trainer. She is a member of the American Dietetics Association and the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition. Her passion for physical health and fitness led her to work as a dietician and personal trainer for a multitude of organizations. Kelly is thrilled to be a part of the Mando Group New York team.
Marilyn Rippetoe, MSW, LMSW (Case Manager)
Marilyn Rippetoe has a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland and is a New York licensed social worker. In her clinical social work career, she has done intensive case management, crisis intervention, and counseling with diverse populations. Her passion for helping people face challenges and reach their personal goals has driven her to her involvement with Mando Group as a Case Manager.
Dr. Gabriela Centurion (Consultant for Mental Health Services)
Dr. Gabriela Centurion is a psychiatrist and psychopharmacologist in full time private practice in Manhattan. She graduated from Beth Israel Medical Center with a subspecialty in addiction psychiatry and is board certified in both psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. She was previously the Director of Outpatient Psychiatry at Cabrini Medical Center. She specializes in addictions, anxiety and mood disorders and has a special interest in women's emotional health and eating disorders.
